WASSA Events
We hold various events over the course of the racing season. Due to WASSA being a seasonal club the majority of the events will be held over the colder months of the year.
Demo Day

The club holds a Demo Day on the foreshore at TBA. This is to show the general public what our sport entails and to educate them in activities they can participate in with their dogs. This is also a great way for the club to encourage new members as the Demo Day gets followed up by the beginner days for those interested.
Beginner Days
7th, 14th and 15th April 2012
Gnangara Training Ground at 4pm

For the general public who are interested in Dog Sledding but want to have a go before incurring the cost of equipment then come on down. These days are put on by the club to give anybody and their dogs a go at our sport.
Beginners Camp
5th and 6th May 2012
Location is TBA
This is a weekend in TBA which WASSA runs to help both inexperienced and experienced Mushers to work with their dogs and improve them in various areas. Everything is provided by WASSA for the weekend but a fee does get charged to help cover some of the costs.

Race 3 - Late August
These are the three competitive races held by WASSA this year. Each race go towards earning points for the State title in all classes. More details and entry forms are posted on the relevant Races pages of the website.
Presentation & Calendar Auction Night

This is a great night out with club members coming along to celebrate the end of another great season. We also incorporate our calendar auction for the following year on the same night so members can bid for their dogs right to shine on a specific month of the calendar.
